And that is so different coming from an officers mouth how? Police can lie too. Even the good ones.
Everyone can lie which is my point exactly. More information and details is needed before immediately jumping to conclusions. In a situation like this though it will most likely be up to internal investigations and/or a jury since it wasn't documented on video.

Sounds like the humane decision, just like a deer that gets hit by a car and is laying in the road wounded.

Humane? absolutely.

Was it anybody but the family's decision? Absofuckinglutely not.

In all honesty when weed is legalized in the next 10 years and they look back at all the trauma they are causeing in their war against marijuana, i hope they are sick to their stomachs.

^Keep dreaming. The trauma as you call it is being caused to those involved in or somehow related to an illegal product. Illegal being the key word.

Why marijuana is even illegal is just blows me away. IMO Alcohol is 5 times worse. All pot does is make you lazy and gives you the damn munchies. I have never once heard of a guy smoking a bunch of pot, then going to rob a liquor store or something. You know why? because he is too busy watching re-runs of Mad Max on TMC while eating cheetos. Yea, marijuana is such a terrible "drug" riiight...

D.A.R.E. was my gateway drug. I didn't know squat or have any interest in drugs until I went through that program.

Again, how do people know the pitbull wasn't on the attack?
Because if it was, as the defendant stated, a nice dog, that had to mean it was well trained. And well trained dogs don't attack people unless provoked. There was no growling, which is what a dog does when it feels threatened, only barking. Despite the fact that none of that was on camera, there is no doubt in my mind that the dog wasn't, and had no intention to, attack anybody at the time it was shot. It was startled by strangers and responded accordingly.

Take the whole pitbull out of the mix. Because the MAJORITY of pitbulls are nice dogs, its the humans that demonize them. Pitbulls used to be the All American dogs, Petey from the little rascals was a pitbull, and they were used to help the war effort selling war bonds. I would give a full account of the pitbulls history but thats what google is for. Its only because of the recent owner stupidity and peice of shit dog fighting rings that give them the image they now have.
And if an officer cannot defend himself against a dog without using deadly force than he doesnt deserve to wear a badge. Hes wearing full swat armor for fucks sake. And if they would have staked out the place they would have had animal services with them. Fools, and another helpless animal dies.
