1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to vehicle license plates; converting to single license plate system for
1.3 vehicle registration; making technical changes; removing obsolete language;

41.22 conspicuously displayed thereon at the rear of the vehicle in a manner that the view of any
41.23 the plate or permit is not obstructed. A plate issued under section 168.27 or a permit issued
41.24 under chapter 168 may be displayed on a vehicle in conjunction with expired registration
41.25 whether or not it displays the license plate to which the last registration was issued.

41.29 Subd. 3. Rear display of single plate. If the vehicle is a motorcycle, motor scooter,
41.30 motorized bicycle, motorcycle sidecar, trailer registered at greater than 3,000 pounds
41.31 gross vehicle weight (GVW), semitrailer, or vehicle displaying a dealer plate, then one
41.32 license plate must be displayed horizontally with the identifying numbers and letters
41.33 facing outward from the vehicle and must be mounted in the upright position on the
41.34 rear of the vehicle.



Trying to get a letter together that we can start sending to senators and house members, this bill needs to pass! Anyone interested in helping?

There is no petition. Follow the link I posted in post # 3 to find your representative and send him/her an email stating your support for this bill!

I got pulled over yesterday for this. Cliff notes on what we need to do?


No petition. Just follow the link that hughes posted to find your rep, and email them asking them to support H.F. No. 1071. Give them a reason too, not just 'please support this' say something like 'If properly displayed, one plate is more than enough for a vehicle. Having second plates disrupts cooling flow to the engine, induces drag (thus hurting fuel economy), and adds production cost to the state.'

I just emailed my state representative, she's the speaker of the house, I feel special.
