Thanks a lot for your e-mail message. I really appreciate your input. I agree that a single license plate makes sense. But the law enforcement community insists that we need two plates. As a result, Minnesota has kept the requirement for two plates. Maybe, with increased technology in law enforcement, that will change.

I got the same response from the representative I emailed with my work address (Hopkins, MN). Sounds like this bill has already been killed. With enough interest though, hopefully its brought back to life and passed.

It says tomorrow is the first action that will take place. It will be the first reading and introduction to the Transportation and Transit Policy and Oversight Division.
