I am seriously considering putting off a house for this car. lol. My girlfriend doesn't like that idea.
I would buy a house while prices are down and interest rates are extremely low, you never know when interest rates could be back in the 10-16% range like in the 80s.

I read about hyundai describing their "low boost" engine as being more refined and smoother.
The way Hyundai phrases it as "low boost" engine in their literature makes it almost seem like they are trying to say that you could turn it up.
Yeah, a house by far. This looks like an awesome DD though!

I wonder what the dual continuously variable valve timing means. Just advancing/retarding or different lifts too? What does Hyundai have on their other cars?
Also how does it detect if you have premium or regular fuel? Just senses knock and changes timing maps or lowers boost?

Im guessing both cams have the ability to advance retard. Like vtec, mivec and vanos.

Evo MIVEC just has advance retard, but I believe the 4G MIVEC is way better and also has different lift/duration profiles, like Honda VTEC.

From the sounds of it, the R-Spec is gonna have all the performance stuff of the Track package, it just won't have the leather, the sound system, or the HIDs. The LSD rear end will only come on the Track, and R-spec versions for the 2.0, and only the Track package for the v6. I'm still planning on the 2.0 with the track package.
The CVVT is just advance and retard for both cams. There are no lift or duration changes. Each cam is individually advanced/retarded depending on engine rpm and load.
It sounds like they're running something like 8 or 9 psi stock, so I'm sure that with an MBC there's plenty more to be pulled out of the stock turbo. And with the higher compression ratio, it shouldn't take as much boost to make decent power.

Me too, it's supposed to be available a little later than the rest of the cars.
