Outside of this event I planned to never go there again anyway. I ran .4 faster at Cedar Falls than I did at Rock Falls on the same setup (13.2 vs 12.8) and the same trap speed (108). So yeah fuck that place.

Sounds like we need to start some threads on local boards to ban the next Sport Compact Day. See how Al likes that. :sasmokin:

AJ is right though, there are still a ton of people that will still drive down there and pay their $35 to get two runs on a shitty un-prepped track and then go back home complaining about how crappy the track was. Then a month later they will go back there and do it again.

How fucking lame. I was all excited to go and then I decide to check out this topic. Good thing I did, I would've driven all the way out there....lol
Does anyone have the addresses for the other two tracks mentioned?

There is also A LOT of talk of a new track in Iowa call LaMonza Motorsport Country Club LaMonza Motorsport Country Club February 28, 2007 LaMonza Motorsport Country Club is pleased to announce the development of our new motorsport complex in northern Iowa. The location is just 70 minutes south of the Twin Cities. The club will feature a 2.9 mile road course, ¼ drag strip, and 15,000 square foot clubhouse that will include the Daytona Bar & Lounge and Grand Prix restaurant. The club will be open to members, as well as corporate and auto club events. We are planning to begin construction in the summer of 2007 so long as the interest in the project remains strong. All zoning and environmental issues are cleared and the project is now down to two potential locations. We are contacting you today to ask for your help to get the word out about this exciting new auto enthusiast and motorsport complex. We need to have 150 more member commitments to finalize our financing for the project. If you could please contact your membership and forward this announcement to them it would help all of us make this complex a reality. If you would like to learn more about LaMonza Motorport Country Club and what we will have to offer please visit our website at www.lamonzaclub.com (http://www.lamonzaclub.com). I would also be happy to attend your monthly member meeting to explain this project in greater detail.

I don't get it. If his first post was updated, that means this event is still on?

wow...I have been going to the RF raceway since i was about 13. I always enjoyed my time there, but than again i was a kid and any car fasinated me. I always did hear my sisters ex-boyfriend say that the track prep is crappy though. I was looking foward to seeing all the fast cars this weekend, I would of been taking my sister from Georgia, she was really excited too. but the petition will be signed and this track is off my list.
