smokes when hits boost

well i own a 98 eclipse gsx. the other day i was driving and i heard a loud bang and my car pretty much died and i got it back home sense i was only like 5 min from my house and noticed that a innercooler pipe blew off, so i put it back on checked all my other clamps as well and went to take it for a spin and the second i hit boost just tons of smoke comes out of my exhuast and in the car and out of the engine, but whe ni popped the hood i couldnt really tell what it was totally, u think its a blown turbo?

I was there too. Oil was dripping from the oil feed tube where it bends over to the oil filter housing. Looks like the smoke was coming from under the trubo. Hits fuel cut 2X before shift point(its a manual) and we were on it and when we slowed down the road, the enginebay and the interior were FILLED with smoke. Also he claims her is loosing oil. Also I noticed that the exhaust manifold looked wet by the top 2 studs.

I think the tech forum rules need to be updated. When someone posts a question about a problem that involves smoke, you MUST post what color the smoke is. It also helps to know what it smells like and where its coming from precisely. Otherwise you're just wasting peoples time by making them ask, or type out what it could be for each possible source of the smoke.

Smoke was a white color and smelled like burning oil.

have you done a compression test? I'd want to say turbo as well. Hopefully its just that.
