Fuck'n A! :headache:
Dell Laptop running windows XP won't go past the welcome screen. It go to the scrren, lets me choose my acct, and goes through the loading personal setting shit then flashes a quick pic (like 1 second) of my background and then goes back to saving personal setting and back to the windows screen. Will not boot off a boost disk. Done all the safe mode shit, basically if you can do it I have tried everything shoft of Full Repair or Full Reinstall. Anyone have any other possible suggestions or know off hand if a repair will delete everything in windows folders like My Documents or if it will delete everything in Outlook Express? And don't tell me you have heard it will or think it will, if you tried it let me know.
You know I have a great list going...
Broke Truck (Tranny), Broken Video Camera (won't turn on and has a tape of this years DSM SO stuck in it), a broke RC Truck ( the $400 version that was just bought this summer), and now a broke Laptop. None of which are paid for in full.
YAAAAYYYYY, this soooo fucking sucks! YAAAAAAYYYYY

Put the Windows XP CD in and do the automated repair... See if that helps.

Pretty sure he's done that since he has been on the phone with dell the last 2 nights.
I think he should mention the reason this happened is cuz he was pissed at me and slammed the thing shut.....

you said you need to get the data off..
get the hard drive hooked up to a desktop thru the adaptor
laptop hard drives are provided power thru the data cable... well the two wires on one side are power basicly..
get it all connected properly, boot up he computer let the BIOS detect the new hard drive and get into windows...
get the data off.. and also simply copy everything over.....
so if you mess up once you can try again..
i would offer to do it for you but you seam a bit lazy.. well make that two bit lazy...
give it a shot, you already beat on it so might as well end its life with dignity..

installing outlook...
"do you want to become stupid and depend on laptop to remember the password?"
"yes" "no"
hmm..let me click on Yes
I learned that lesson hard way as well...
now the password you are talking about is outlook password? correct? or you ISP password?
if it is your outlook password there are tools that will recover passwords.. do a google search... you might come up with something..
and if you are talking about your ISP passwod you can goahead and contact them they will reset it for you.
