Gaming Systems

Who has what and what are the games of choice? And special features to they gaming systems or added super powers to make those computers just fucking fly while gaming?

Right now I only play Gamecube and I'm on the Medal of Honor series.

I've had Xbox and PS as well. But right now, other than the GC, the only thing I play is a regular NES.

Re: Gaming Systems

Try World of Warcraft for PC. That game is addicting. I have to get a better video card, so I can play on my own comp.
I love playing MOH, especially on the PC. I like the PC controls over the PS or Xbox controls for these types of games.

Re: Gaming Systems

Pretty much the only game I play is perfect dark on N64. Right now I'm taking a couple months off cause i play it way to much, waste too much time and then get sick of it.

Set it up w/teams and 9 other simulant players, turn of the time limit and theres a blood bath for ya. My kill count record stands @ 1600 in one sitting. i wasn't even
playing that long either.

Re: Gaming Systems

God of War-(ps2) just is awesome, its like prince or persia but with rape and death. good puzzles.

Red Dead Revolver-(ps2) another game made by the GTA guys, its one of those "greatest hits" 20 dolla deals and is easily worth that in fun. its a western! the showdowns are fun.

Prince of Persia-(ps2) well since i mentioned it i might as well continue its a great exploration game. addicting.

Ico-(ps2) i'm the only person i know to have even played this game, and its one of the best i've touched. no talking, no life bar, no timers, just exploration and puzzles. NOT LIKE FUCKING MYST

Resident Evil 4-(gamepube) awweesome. go buy it. creepy.

Legend of Zelda: Windwaker (gamepube) i got 3/4 of the way through it until my roomie accidentally erased the mem card its a fucking great game though, zelda for anything is good.

Tekken 5-(ps2) i like fighting games, and this one pwnz.

err i'll add more later, go beat all those first

Call of Duty is the best first person shooter made.
Rome: Total War is the best ever strategy game.

Of course, I like both of these because they let you play around in a fairly accurate representation of real history.

Re: Gaming Systems

I sit on my ass at the local arcade and play marvel vs. capcom 2 all day long.

My other suggestions are....

hot shots golf (psp)
lumines (psp)
darkwatch (xbox/ps2)
guilty gear x2 (xbox for online play)
killer 7 (gamecube...its a mind fuck)
and in two week ninja gaiden black will be out wich I can not wait any longer for.

my two cents

Re: Gaming Systems

I have a modded xbox that has the following emulators:

NES (Complete library)
SNES (Complete library)
Genesis (Complete library)
NEO GEO (Almost complete library) SNK vs. Capcom Samurai Showdown V are favorites
N64
MAME (Arcade) (Complete library every compatible arcade game from 1976-2000+)
CPS 1 Games (Street Fighter II etc.)
CPS 2 Games (Street Fighter Alpha 1,2,3 Capcom vs. SNK etc.)

Besides that my xbox is my media center for the home, plays videos, music, internet localy and off of other computers on my network. The xbox media center also has handy plugins to sites like the weather channel and apple movie trailers which we use a lot. I also run xlink kai for playing xbox games online, works great for Halo 2.

I also modified an old arcade machine that accepts all kinds of Jamma based arcade boards. Actual arcade games I own are Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting edition, Mortal Kombat 3 Ultimate edition, NBA Jam Tournament Edition, Super Spike Volleyball, Super Street Fighter II, and some dumb game that was given to me. I will probably sell this arcade machine as the wife to be doesn't want it in the house and I never have anyone to play on it anymore.

Jim

Re: Gaming Systems

I don't understand why people bother playing on gaming systems with outdated style controls. SOME games are good with it however others arne't that great

What can you be mor precise with, keyboard/mouse or 4 way buttons?

Some games don't shine until you start using PC's, the graphics are way better on PC as well. Games can become more detailed and involved with menus and options, clickable etc etc.

I have PS2, DreamCast unopened in original box still, and an open one, as well as PS1. Those systems were used maybe top 6 times all together. they aren't even hooked up.
Playstations were only used for Tekken and one racing game!!!

Currently my free time is going to World Of Warcraft, very addictive game and fun i might add.

What kind of table did you get Steve?

I pretty much only play Live for Speed. Hook up the steering wheel and pedals to the computer and do a few laps. Fun game

That's where all my free time goes to also. Still working on that lvl 60 Hunter, only 16 more lvls to go! What realm are you in? I'm in Thunderhorn (currently full), very laggy at times. Especially when they're doing maintenance. Lets get everyone on here into World Of Warcraft. Our guild would be called "DSMstylers Legion" ..haha.
