Re: rock falls july 10th!

I'm going but not until the 16th. That's a $69 test day. I need an entire day of test/tune with my car just to weed everything out.

IMO- I haven't been to a Sport Compact race to watch yet this year but all the prior years, it's a joke. I'd rather watch paint dry. I generally go on fun days or regular bracket days.

Re: rock falls july 10th!

I feel the same way about import day, you only get a few runs and then you have to watch the countless 15+sec cars for most of the day. Too many cars that are too slow makes for a boring day at the track. The fun days are alright to go to because the cars are faster which mean less time to sit there and wait when bracket racing starts. Test and tune days are good for a lot of runs, but the 69 dollars is a bit steap for slippery falls in my book.

Re: rock falls july 10th!

Excellent guys! That would be great to go there and meet you guys. I'd be the one with the silver 2g and 19" Racing Hart C5's if you ever see it around there.

Craig- you couldn't of said it better. For me, I can't stand listening to a car that sounds like an F1 car when it's going down the track only to see it ran 15+ seconds on the board when the guy had half of his interior shit laying in a pile in the pits. Personally, anytime i've ever went to watch, it was to see the 12 and 13 second guys just to learn from and see their setups.

Besides this weekend, the next fun day after that would be August 27th.

Yeah, the last time I went to RF was with Carltalon and he ran a 13.7. Now he's almost breaking low 12's so far. That is a lot of work in one year, but he's having some fun with it..haha. I wont be able to run my car at all this year, so I'll wait for a Fun Day when everyone else goes and I'll just watch. Too many things breaking down on my car and that's keeping me from the mods. Tell me how this RF goes and have fun watching the 15-17 second cars- I had a quick nap during that time on the first RF...hahaha .

Re: rock falls july 10th!

I would be going this Saturday if my turbo didnt fuck up. But I am planning on the 27th of August for the fun day. Personally the fun days are prepped a lot better and same with the test and tune days. I wouldnt mind making it down to Cedar Falls sometime before the season is over also.

Still have 4 fun days left after this weekend before the season is over so I'm in no hurry:

August 27th
September 25th
October 8th (dont know if I'm gunna make this one cause my 21st is on the 7th )
October 22nd

OT: On the topic of Cedar Falls, did Shane happen to make it down that way this last weekend? If so how did he do?

I will be there on the 16th testing my new traction setup. If any of you feel the need to be friendly(which is asking a lot from a dsm'er) you can come by and say what's up to me. I'm pretty sure i'll have the only accord at the track that day.

Re: rock falls july 10th!

I wanted to go this weekend to run for the first time as well, but I won't be ready. Ran into a issue on the FMIC piping, and some damm Smog can on the drivers side. I also want to get it on the AWD Dyno and wideband for a hour of pulls before I go up, now I guess Aug 27 for me as well.

I have a couple helmets, if anyone needs to borrow one, just PM me.

I'd gladly come by and say Hello. I could care less what breed you drive. Truthfully anybody that's friendly is a friend in my book. I have a few bugs to work out but I have time to do so. I want to get my old Alky injection on this car. I started on it but i've been too lazy already this week and didn't get much done.

Re: rock falls july 10th!

Jet- not sure if your question was direct towards myself but I'm going on the 16th to test unless something happens between now and then. However, my brother is going this Saturday to run his car. I'd go but my windows are getting tinted this Sat. Sunday is our Fesitvity parade so i'm custom to going to that.
