oil pump

I am having this problem with my 90 eagle talon tsi awd. It sounds like it isnt getting any oil to the top part of my motor. The sound is horrible! It sounds like a turbo charged tractor. However that is not the only problem. Cylinder 1 and 4 are not firing. I have replaced the coil pack and this however did not solve my problem. One person that is helping me with this car said it is the cam angle sensor while other mechanics are telling me it is the oil pump. My question is do you think it is one or the other or both? The car has a JDM Cyclone motor and tranny, i have probably put 150miles on it, then it started this noise. It ran great for the first 150. If any one has any suggestions as to what it might be please let me know via replying to this thread or call my phone. I live in rochester and would be willing to pay anyone to help me with the problem. My # is 507-261-5110 Thanks
Brad

Re: oil pump

Is there any way that i could possibly be two valves that are stuck down? I have spark on all four so we have pretty much eliminated all ignition problems. However 1 and 4 Are still not firing. Any sugestions? Please help Call Me 507-261-5110

Re: oil pump

Are your injectors firing on all 4 cylinders?

3 Things to get a motor to run:
Spark - Got it
Fuel - ???
Compression - ???

Have you checked the timing marks to see if the belt jumped any? Do some tests like compression and make sure your getting fuel in your cylinders and if all that is good, post what you did and the results and we'll go from there.

BTW: I'm in Winona and I was in rochester today but your phone was off... Oh and nice message.

Re: oil pump

Ha Ha sorry about my message I was working. Yeah Compression is good 165 165 167 165. We are getting fuel. It runs but it makes this noise. I was thinking about it yesterday while i was in the garage and it almost seemed like it has 2 stuck valves. because an oil pump would explain the god awful noise but would not explain the Missfire. A cam angle sensor would explain the missfire but not the noise. i have ruled out the cam angle sensor at this point because i have spark on all four. Could 2 stuck valves make a noise like this and would it cause it to missfire so badly?

Re: oil pump

See i thought that to but the noise that is coming from the top side of the motor is horrible. The noise is noway caused by any ignition problem.
