Benefit showing of "A life without pain"

A story of Gabby Gingras and 2 other children like her. It will be shown at the Elk River High School on May 22nd at 5pm.

Here is the invitation flyer with all the details:

http://www.gift-of-pain.org/movieinvite.pdf

The cost is a tax deductable donation of $10 per person. Seats need to be reserved beforehand.

For those who have never heard of Gabby, she has been featured on Kare 11 news ( her is the link http://www.kare11.com/links/links_ar...?storyid=60043 ) and many other media places. She was also on the front page of the variety section in the sunday paper this past week. She was born with a very rare disease that keeps her from feeling any pain. She never cries because she never feels any pain. There are only a handful of people in the world with this disease. A St. Paul woman followed Gabby, her family and the families of two other children with the same disease for a year (I believe) and made a 75 minute film about their lives. This is the film they are showing this sunday.

Gabby's father is Steve Gingras. A former ProRally driver and current rally worker and steward that lives in Elk River. He has always been there to help out others that needed it and now his daughter, and others like his daughter, are in need of help to find a cure for this. He has set up a website ( http://www.gift-of-pain.org/ ) in order to raise awareness and help people around the world that deal with this disease on a daily basis to have a place to discuss treatments and help them to cope with the day-to-day stresses associated with this disease.

We will be going up there. I hope to see many of you up there too. Remember, you have to make reservations as there may not be any seats left just before the show. The email address in the flyer goes to Steve, so you know that it doesn't just go to some computer that doesn't respond. It is manned by a human being.

Re: Benefit showing of "A life without pain"

Oh yeah. Did I mention he used to rally a DSM???? He has a very impressive record of winning with it. He won Headwaters from years past, Valvoline Cup series, and many rallies. I don't have his whole resume, but he is one hell of a driver. On his steering wheel in his rally car it says "Just Drive"....
