There is a tool to twist them back in. It looks like a single die (single of dice) with nubs on each side. Each side does a different style of brake piston. I have this tool in my toolbox if you need to borrow it. You put it on a 3/8" ratchet with a small extension, line up the nubs and turn it back in.
