Start my new job on Feb 1st!!!

I got a call around christmas time from a guy I went to school with for hydraulics. He said the company he works for was looking to hire a few people and he thought of me. I went down there and interviewed around New Years time and got the job just last week. We finally settled on a start date today.

I gave my notice at work and they were trying everything they could to convince me to stay. Kinda makes ya feel good inside to have a couple of places fighting over ya. But I already made up my mind.

Since the new place that I'm going to provides all our tools, I'm gonna have to make a new thread to sell my Snap-On toolbox.

But it's nice that the new job is a little closer to home and is a little bump up in pay.

Hydraulic Assembly Tech. I've been a repair technician for the last 5-1/2 years. I will be working my way into an inside sales position down the road. It's a smaller company so it's more of a home-type atmosphere. Everyone knows each other by first name. Plus they are an ESOP company.

I have thought about that before! But my voice would turn away too many of your listeners. Besides, they'd have to change back to the way they were back in the late 80's early 90's so I could tolerate it.

Well, 2 days down and it's pretty cool. I get along with almost everyone there. We all joke around and have fun.

One of the guys with the bench next to mine is an old autocrosser and old SCCA member. So we talk about racing all day.

It's funny to work with company tools. Everytime I run into a tool that I need and don't have there, I find myself saying, "I have that at home in my toolbox."
