cause mine doesn't. the pressure gauge worked good when it was on the old engine, or i should say the pressure sender unit.

anyway, the wire is hooked up. this thing shouldn't take long to start reading oil pressure, should it?

i know the oil galleys are empty, but damn, i've cranked it a lot.

if the oil pump wasn't primed correctly, would it not suck any oil up?

how long/many times did you prime it?

Shindley primed mine for like 10 seconds using a electric screw gun

well, i just pulled off my oil filter and oil came out, so it's got to be pumping it. (i installed the filter dry.)

the sender or gauge must be borked. autozone, here i come.

I would pull the oil feed bolt and see if anything comes out of there. I'm not sure if it could, but oils could have just drained back into the filter. If oil shoots out your turbo feed line you know that you are getting oil to the head. If you didn't prime the pump they can be tough to get anything going through.

Been, there, done that. I couldn't get any pressure or oil our of the turbo feed line. Had to pull the timing cover/belts off and spin up with a drill on the pump gear. Sucked, but saved the new motor.
