hello
So a few days ago a purchassed a 92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD, I used to own a 98 Eclipse RS until that one was total'd.
I was intorduced into the DSM world by a Friend and co-worker who also owns a 92 talon, he pointed me in this direction

I'm really new at all of this so please feel free to give me any advice or tips on anything I should do.
My talon Came mostly factory equipment, the only thing the preveious owner id was add an ACT 2100 Clutch, the small 16g turbo, a boost controller (not sure how to use it, or what exactly it is for) a turbo timer (thats kinda cool) some spark plug wires, and boost guage thats screwed into the piller.
other then that it's all factory.
a couple questions that I have and i hope somone can answer.
first, Is there a way to fix that window Track thing?, it's kinda irritating
Second, I did a bunch of things right after i bought the car, like oil change, belt change, spark plug change (I got some NGK-BPR7ES) other then that are there other things i should do right away?
again if anyone has any sugestions, please feel free to post back
thanks

Nice to see you finally joined.

This is my buddy Cole, let's take care of him, he is a very corruptable and highly influenced individual, so we can tell him anything. j/k

Enjoy yourself.

Did the timing belt get done in the belt change? That is the #1 thing you have to be sure about. After that just start doing some research on basic stuff. Hit up VFAQ's and check out the 1000 ?'s FAQ. That will answer a lot of questions.

Welcome. The window fix is on there somewhere. You pull the panels off and adjust a coule bolts. Silicone spray the glides while you are in there and you are done. It is too late for me to explain in furthur detail. I cannot think right. Post the questions under Basic Tech.

What boost are you running (what does it say on the gauge at full throttle)? To operate the boost controller, turn it in for more boost, back it out for less. Make sure you are not running over 14-15 psi.

Hey man! I know the car your talking about. It has some problems, I went to look @ it but didn't buy it cuz there was some shit wrong. Honestly, i'd take it to QPR and have them check it out, just in case?

You bought it from an Asian in South Mlps on Cedar, right? How much did you pay?

I'm only running about 15psi boost I think,
as for the asian guy on ceder, that would be him.
Matt and I went and looked at it he ran a compression test (150 across the board)
Matt said it sounded like there might be some knocking at idle, but he called up QPR and whoever he talked to said there wasn't anything to worry about

he talked to me, I don't remember saying knocking is okay ::shrugs:: compression numbers are decent however!

No no... I talked to Mike on Saturday. I was talking about lifter tick, it went away after warmup, but the reason Mike and I were uneasy was that the oil pressure gauge wasn't giving a reading even after I verified that it was plugged in. But after a pretty thorough test drive it didn't seem like anything was wrong. But definately need to get that sender looked at.

probably due to the stock exhaust with a fart can, bigger turbo with no fuel to match, etc...
