Bookkeeping Software

We started an LLC for our rental house. Need to start doing some very basic bookkeeping. I'm very new to this so wondering if anyone out there who has some experience with this type of stuff can recommend a program for basic bookkeeping/accounting. Looking for something very basic, easy to use, and cheap/free. We aren't doing anything fancy, just rent coming in, and mortgage payment going out every month, and the occasional misc expense like if we have to replace a water softener or something. No salary being paid or anything like that. So we probably don't need to go buy Quicken Deluxe, just looking for something extremely basic.

Couple I'm looking at:

Re: Bookkeeping Software

From the sound of it, you could just get by with excel.

Re: Bookkeeping Software

True. I may just go get a paper register from officemax, but this VT software is just about as simple as it gets, kinda liking it.

And no not JKODIS haha.

Re: Bookkeeping Software

Exactly, but paying someone else to do it sucks worse.

Re: Bookkeeping Software

Yea id probably just make an excel spreadsheet, different tabs for different years. Set up some functions to do calculations, and just make monthly cells for mortgage and rent payments. Shouldnt be too hard.
