N**gas in Paris, going gorillas?

So I'm going to paris for 2 days next week, any recommendations of what to see?

We are going to see the big stuff, arc, eiffel, louvre, rodin probably and montmatre (sp?), but it looks like we will have a lot of time to see other things/chill.

Any recommendations?

Lol at hecklers not answering the question. They are going to London for a week, then just taking a side trip to Paris.

Eiffel Tower, The Arc, Louvre, Notre Dame, those are the big ones we saw. Plus you will just see tons of other cool buildings while walking around, place is pretty cool.

without flights, I'm taking the train. You ever been out of the country? Would they allow you in another country?

I never got up to Paris, but the mediterranean coast is awesome. Cannes has especially hot chicks, at they did back when I was there in the 80's.

Re: N**gas in Paris, going gorillas?

The big thing to maximize what you can do/see is to pick things in the same general area for each day. You'll be either walking or taking the subway, and walking tends to be easier/more eventful/enjoyable. It's usually pretty easy to do anyway considering the city was built in a spiral, and a lot of the sights are relatively close to each other toward the center.

Montemartre was cool to wander around, lots of little shops and cafes, I'd say go around lunch time to make the most of it.

The Arc is going to end up being another sight that could include some shopping/browsing, but west on the Champs-Elysees is mostly larger chain and designer stores, so if that doesn't interest you the Place de la Concorde is at the other end of the street.

The Eiffel Tower is naturally a must-see, and at the opposite end of the square there's an active military school if you'd be interested in checking that out.

The Louvre is a tricky one, as it's pretty expansive, and if I'm remembering correctly none of the major attractions are near each other. You'd best plan the better part of a day for it, though I'd expect one to be able to see the major works, do some wandering, and make it back out in an afternoon if they tried to do so.

Rodin was worth the visit IMO, but at the same time I don't remember a ton from it. Seeing The Thinker was pretty cool after having seen a likeness in the form of a bookend throughout my childhood.

I noticed that Notre Dame wasn't on your list, and I'd suggest making a stop there if time allows. If not taking a tour at least seeing it.

Luxembourg Palace might also be another stop to consider, as well as Musee d'Orsay.

One other thing I will suggest is a river boat tour if you can, you'll get to see quite a lot of sights from the water.

I've been, if you can't tell, but that was in 2005 and recalling the little details and everything visited isn't the easiest, but if you've got any questions I can try to answer them.

Re: N**gas in Paris, going gorillas?

^That was really helpful thanks.

Notre Dame is on the list, i forgot to mention it. We have our hotel booked and a sightseeing route made for the first day, the second day is pretty much wide open.
