Great knowledge

Hey, been on the site for awhile but havent made very many posts. trying to get back in to the forum scene though.

(this isnt an advertisement lol)
Just wanted to share some information with a lot of the DIY'ers out there. There is a program you can purchase from alldata.com specifically for your vehicle that will give you all the information you need, I.E exact removal and installation procedures, torque specs, fluid specs... etc. It also provides TSB's (technical service bulletins) that could inform you of recalls on your car. and also show common problems with your vehicle and an alternate way to fix it. this is the program i have been using while attending school and it has helped me a lot. i believe it starts at around 26 dollars for a full year of use and i think around 15 or something like that for each additional vehicle.

Hopefully this helps some people. im sure most people on here will agree that you should have your vehicle running properly before you begin to modify. If anyone knows of any other programs that they feel might be better or more user friendly, i would appreciate a reply.

Re: Great knowledge

I would hope any good mechanic knows about alldata, as well as Identifix.

As for the DIY guys, any service manual for their vehicle should suffice.

Re: Great knowledge

At work I use Mitchell and Identifix. Alldata and Identifix are the best, Identifix has great wiring diagrams too. Mitchell kinda sucks.

I know a lot of local libraries actually have Alldata on their computers.

I use google for torque specs and if the socket fits; use it method.
If the socket is hard to reach, use azn hands to try and wiggle it in there.
So far, great success.
