I did carfax and got the following, it says that the corrosion waranty is 84 months or 100k miles.. well i have some rust by the latch, and it hasn't expired yet, should i take it in to get that repaired
i will be gone for 3 weeks anyways so i could just drop it off at satans to get it fixed?

Corrosion
84 months or 100,000 miles

It only works on "rust through" corrosion. The rust has to be coming from the inside out, not surface rust.

how about the following pic, look by the latch..the rust is on the inside if the paint didn't flake off it would of showed that it started from inside out..its a damn 99 vehicle!!!

If your modified they'll probably void the warranty, just because it's "SATAN" and the company in general isn't doing well.

Just do a little touchup. Its more of a hassle to even deal with the dealer on that small of an issue.

Yea 1999 is 5 and a half years ago. It seems to me alot of 2G's like to rust.

If its such a big issue then why do you even ask for my opinion and go to the dealer?? Remember you asked for what we think... that is what I think. :razz2:
