Just picked her up tonight, my first bike. Took her for a spin in some parking lots and I have to say this is one of the best purchases I have ever made...Now hopefully I don't kill myself

Oh yeah, guess I forgot the details...

1997 Honda CBR 600 F3
Weight ~ 408 lbs
12,xxx miles

Bought her for $3800 with the helmet. It was dumped once at a stop and the ferring has some touch up paint, but nothing big. As far as aftermarket it has a bolt on muffler, some japanese name

Chris

Oh and as far as speed here is a quote I found:

"That linear powerband helped the 1997 F3 post the second-quickest drags trip time of 11.00 at 124.61 mph."

Nice,

I think we'll all have to get together and go Riding some time.

there are quite a few people in the club that ride or have riden.

Once the cars done I'm looking at possibly getting a bike so I can go riding with Jenny.

That's what you're learning to ride on? hmy: You better get a full set of leathers and always wear that helmet. I've heard of too many kids getting shovelled off the pavement from driving one of those with very little experience.

yeah it is a very fast machine, scares the shit out of me! I've told a lot of people this and no one seems to believe me, but I'm not the kind of person to pop wheelied and endos, no messing around for me. I have also heard too many horror stories about bikes.

I am getting the hang of it pretty quickly, drove around for most of the day today. It is definately a rush, but you have to realize the possibilty of dangerous situations.
