Ok so early this afternoon some guy calls up saying he is Sean (Bucky on here) and he had a Clutch for a Toyota truck he didn't have a reciept for, but wanted to return it for cash. Well Sean recently had this stuff stolen from him not to long ago and I was nto only aware of it but knew right away this guys wasn't Sean. I tell him that we can return it for him and he says he will head down this afternoon. So we plan it all out. We call the cops to make sure we have everything covered, the car that the shit was taken from was here at the shop since Mike recently bought it so we covered it up, and had Sean and Carl on the way down to the shop. We have it planned out so Matt D is chatting with me on AIM so when they are in the office he can call the cops. They show up, Matt calls them and I stall long enough for the cops to show up. He takes all 3 in handcuffs and they find even more stuff that was Seans in the car with them. How stupid can you be. He got the name from a warrenty card Sean had filled out and after all said and done the cops took 1 guys away and sent the other 2 dipshits away on foot and they took the car.
Then if that wasn't better we had a Navagator that was left in the parking lot nto too long ago that was stolen. Well there was a new Mustang in the lot that was sitting in the same place and I told the cop about the other car and if he wanted to run the plates just to make sure it may not hurt. Sure as shit it was stolen as well.
What a fucking afternoon. We didn't get shit done, but we helped get some stolen property back to a guy who works hard for his $$$ and put one theif with the cops while also getting another owner his car back. Nto a bad day of work.
It WAS TRUELY SWEET REVENGE for those who have had some stuff taken.
BTW the guy busted was from Anoka, and his buddies let go where from Robbinsdale so watch your cars people!
Allan

Thats awesome, but the whole thing is now they know who you are and where you live. Good work on picking that out alan, why did they want to return it at QPR and how did they get your number and so on and so forth. I missed something.

They found the warrenty card with our info and Sean's info on it. That right there was enought to nail them. Plus I don't know if they are doing anything about the theft of identity but who knows. It's a great feeling to help people get their shit back!

You didnt happen to mention that there were ALOT of folks at the shop when this went down. I think if anything were to have happened those 3 guys would have been in a world of hurt. And didnt they find some SMOKE in the car too ???
And I wouldnt say that you didnt get anything done. My car was tuned. OK so that was after all of the excitement but it rippes some serious ass just the same.

Allan should have put that a different way, we didn't get as much done as normal. I got a ton of stuff as well done, just not as much as if this wouldn't have happened. It was fun having everyone down for it though, kinda of a "bust the bad guy/eat some pizza" party type thing. It was cool.
I agree as well, Dan's car kicks ass!

It was exciting. I also was wondering. did Bucky and Carl end up offering the other 2 a ride home?

who's home? or should i say, which state? they would be hog tied and driven for few hours away and left in the middle of NO WHERE... afcourse use a small chain and lock around their legs so that they cant walk too fast... and with things writen in permanent marker on their faces. "I"M A THIEF, KICK ME IN THE NUTZ"
and a few more things i could think of to make thier life a bit more misserable.

When will it end?
This morning I wake up around 8:30 to someone knocking on the door. The front door is right by my bedroom window so I hop out of bed and see two cop cars parked on the street, and one officer walking away from the front door toward the parking lot next door. I put on some clothes and go out back by the shop to see what's going on. In the alley the officer asks me who I am, told him I live here and he asked me politely to go back inside. I go in the house and just watch from the kitchen.
The two cops are slowly walking around the shop, peeking in the windows and checking the doors. The other cop comes to the door and asks who's garage it is. I tell him the two guys that live with me own it. He tells me that he needs to speek with one of them, and at that time Mike was on his way out to see what was going on. Turns out there is some nutty lady in a van in the alley that says there is an asian kid or something that is tied up in the shop who was kidnapped and is being held for ransom. The cops search the shop, even the attic, and obviously find nothing. They say it's just as they suspected because apparently this woman was high strung.
So far the St. Paul police aren't all that bad. (Any attitudes from the cops yesterday were justified considering the situation.) The younger cop hung around and started asking Mike and I about cars, and he was saying how he wanted to buy a different car, something that could be had for cheap and be modified for just as much. Nothing better than a DSM! He took a business card and said he would for sure be back in the future.
It's almost 9:30, I'm going to McDonalds before they stop serving breakfast.
