94 Talon DL Turbo swap

So, I thought I would throw up a project thread for this car too seems as how the galant may just get parked for a while.

The car was originally a 1.8 5 speed car, and some owner down the way swapped in a 4G63t into it. And it was done poorly. I am not sure if they did anything right on this. lol. But it did run surprisingly. Which is hard to believe cause when I pulled the ECU out of it last night, it was marked bad and had burned up chips on the inside.

Anywho, here are some pics of the car.

My current plans are to swap out wiring harness, both engine, and chassis harness in the front. It is pretty hacked up. And I got the replacement stuff for cheap. Might swap in my 6 bolt out of my Galant, and than start from scratch on the Galant. Thats still undecided. If anything, I will be rebuilding the short block in this one, and swapping in all the right mounts.

It seems like alot of work for suck a bla car, but, I like to mess around with things. And parts are more than available for this so it can be done cheap. And hopefully the end result will be a good daily driver, than can be taken back and forth to work and what not while I get the galant torn down and ready to painted and fixed.

Re: 94 Talon DL Turbo swap

Today I pulled the dash and fenders so I can have easy access to all the wiring. I should be pulling the motor out soon. Than gotta decide on what to do. Also gonna be selling some things off the car. Things I wont be using.
