for a exhaust have a 3 inch downpipe, no cat, 3 inch catback, but for the muffler use a stock one? would the stock muffler help or hurt? if it has the same results as other mufflers thatll be nice.

If you take off the stock muffler off from the stock system, you get around 5 hp.

Think of exhaust flow like hot wax. The hotter it is the faster it flows, less pipe size needed, so at the end of the exh system the flow gets cooler and needs more pipe size to flow. :3gears:

It would work, but it wouldn't do you much good. Its kinda like the saying "A chain is only as strong as its weakest link", in this case, the exhaust flow is only as good as the smallest part of the system. And like stated above, it gets even worse as the gas cools off.

That not a good question to ask, the definition of "noisy" will probably be different for each person.

I have the perfect muffler for you Stop by the shop if you want to see one. I also have a used one that is in pretty decent shape that might work well for you and it wouldn't cost much.
