Testing waters: House BASHING party????

Want to see if there is any interest in a house bashing party. Slowbubblecar and I have a house in Shakopee we are planning on gutting and could use some help tearing it apart. Have no idea when we are really going to dig into the house but that wouldn't stop us from tearing it apart.

We have done this enough times where it isn't that much fun for us anymore but it always seems fun to new people.

Anyone interested?

Probably have a BBQ or something at the house, people can talk and take their aggression out on the walls and the interior of the house. Could possibly set up some competitions (swings to break a cast tub, dsm pull off, etc). House is on a corner lot across the street from a school so we have plenty of room.

There are actually 2 dsms parked there that could be worked on if anyone got bored

Have no idea if we are going to do this, just testing the waters right now as it was an idea that popped in my head on the way home.

Sounds sort of fun, mostly depends on if I'm busy that day.

No problem. I don't mind giving rides and I know James won't care.

Shokopee is a ways a way, but for a ride in the Vipers and some BBQ, it could be a possibility...

I might be able to help.. got a sledge & a Sawzall & live in Shakopee... :P The tub will only take one whack to crack but 5 or 6 to make it bucketable.. that's how I hauled mine out.

Re: Testing waters: House BASHING party????

No date set or anything set yet. Wanting to figure out interest first. House needs A LOT of work and there isn't much of anything we plan on keeping in it. I have broken out a few cast tubs and would be suprised if it can be done in in 6 or so wacks. Depending on where I hit, it can sometimes take 2 swings to even break the first piece. Viper rides, food and beer won't be a problem. The house is located just off of CR17 (Marschall) which is one exit south of the canterbury park exit on 169.

Re: Testing waters: House BASHING party????

Was just an idea on the way home last night, no real though has been put into this.

James may not be able to but I think I can break it in one swing I have broken a few. Easiest way to remove them is lug them out in one peice and throw into the dumpster.

If you can do it, I can do it. I am guessing this tub wont come out too easily by carrying it. I guess it is possible to just get rid of the walls around it, carry it outside and then beat on it.

I'd ration the use of the sawzall. Way too easy to cut through something 'important'....

Re: Testing waters: House BASHING party????

Plumbing and electrical are being updated so there isn't really much to ruin. We plan on keeping most of the walls, so the cutting would likely be minimal. Mainly breaking the plaster off the walls and possibly getting ride of some lath inder it.

No plans on a date yet. The house is just off Marschall about a mile west of 169. Not sure the school name but it looks like an elementary school.

Re: Testing waters: House BASHING party????

This is john on James' computer. Here are a couple of pucs of our last house:

http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/61.../1877918_zpid/

Was a complete gut job. Last sale price listed was when we bought it but we sold it for $150k. Not sure what is the deal with the shitty pics though...

Rides ok, drives maybe personally, not at a group event. I know if I let one person drive many people would want to.
