Rock Band

Anyone else got it? Played it a bit this weekend to try it out and at one point we even rolled out with all 4 parts going with a little mic action. That game can get seriously out of control.

Re: Rock Band

I traded all my PS2 stuff at gamestop to pick up an xbox 360 and rock band. My and my GF are pretty good at guitar hero so we played guitar and bass. Her roommate loves karaoke so she took the mic, and her boyfriend took the drums. We spent all night last night playing. It is totally freakin awesome. The drums are really hard..

The guitar for the game looks pretty cool but I hooked up a guitar hero controller and used that, I like the clicky stummer better. The real-time % display for the guitar solos is pretty cool too.

Re: Rock Band

It looks pretty sweet but it's way out of my price range. Guitar Hero is expensive enough.

Re: Rock Band

I'd like to try it as well. I've played GH and it's not much like the real thing, but interesting none the less. Now I've been playing drums for a while so I'd like to see how different this would be. If there's no kick drum, it'd be pretty easy.

Re: Rock Band

I'd love to try out the drums on it and see if it's any different. what are the sensors for the set? I assume there would be a kick, snare, high hats, and maybe a tom or two? Maybe a crash?

Re: Rock Band

Never even heard of the game before. But sounds like it would be a great party game.

Re: Rock Band

I bought a used strat after spending so much time on guitar hero. I practice on it a couple times a week but it just doesnt have that pick-it-up-and-rock-out fun that GH/rock band has.. it's actually work

Re: Rock Band

I play a real guitar and use to be in a band, I love this game and GH Although it seem like being able to play the real thng makes it harder to play the fake one. Maybe its just me

Re: Rock Band

I've played the drums at a few BestBuys and the drums are usually broken on one or more drum. I hope that will not be a common thing. And some drums you have to hit them just right to pick up the note, not too hard or not too soft. I think it would be really fun on a new drum set?????

Re: Rock Band

I'm guessing the drums are beat to shit in the stores though. They seem pretty solid thus far on every day use.
