So, I'm paging through the latest "modified"..
And I happened across a brian crower ad and they've got a stroker kit for the 4g64 that bumps it up to 2.55L I like that because my quest is about 2.555L or what have you. So, this is where I will go next year probably. Wideblock 6 bolt 4g64, BC stroker kit, 4g63 head with some sort of porting/cams/whatever work done to it, a rwd manifold, big injectors and a big ass turbo and rev to 6.5k! w00t!

That's more displacement than the 6g73 V6 in my Avenger.
Lucky.

I know you have to watch the rod clearance to the sides of a block on a 2.4l with some rods. I am sure you will have to do some clearancing with that. It would be pretty cool though, it will spool the turbo even faster! The rod ratio has got to be getting pretty harsh though. You can probably still rev to 7500 though.

Re: So, I'm paging through the latest "modified"..
Well, Basically, it will have the same displacement as my current sohc engine, most likely be lighter, I know it's more compact and I would gamble that it has a better VE than the g54b. Plus I'm all set up for it now that i've converted to mpi. It would just be a matter of building it, installing it and getting the I/C and exhaust pipes modded to fit. And then breaking the transmission.

I think you mean 2.6. 2.7 was the mythical Crankwalker motor a few years back.

Hmm, all that after working your ass off going MPI on the g5? You better sell me your engine mang!
PS: Don't tell emagnim (or whatever he calls himself) on SQC. Hell, half those people are G54B purists...good thing you're on permanent vacation!

Re: So, I'm paging through the latest "modified"..
yeah, emagdnim knows he wants what I have, plus I had the idea of using the dsm parts way before he was even a damn member on that board. then he claimed I was doing his deal or whatever, bah! But I'm not bitter, I just know for the same displacement, I'd rather have dohc and a buttload of aftermarket parts. Plus it's finally a way to have the magical "DOHC head" that everyone wishes they had. But actually I will tune my g54b first, see how much it'll make.

I ended up buying that ricer rag just so I could see my buddy's 1G DSM. I think I skipped through all the other drifting garbage.

That's right, bring it on down to your level, you can fight better there.
