Dell tech support.

I heard a while ago that Dell was bringing their tech support back to the USA. Today I confirmed it. Man was it nice to talk to someone that understood what I said the first time.

For anyone that has a Dell, write this number down. It is the direct number to the tech support center in Utah, USA.

1800-624-9896 ext. 7254339

You bypass all of the menu bs and get connected to the right place right away.

Re: Dell tech support.

That's good news. When I worked for a company that had all Compaq computers 2 years ago talking to someone in India was nearly impossible.

Yeah, a few months ago before I had my wireless hooked up I called and talked to Herdeet for a couple hours. Any time I connected directly to the cable modem I would get a blue screen and my comp would shut down. Nothing was resolved and I still had my problems but decided to deal with it because once my wireless was in use it was fine.

Lately I have been having another problem so I called today and Tom was much more helpful. I told him about my new problem and the previous one and he immediatly diagnosed the motherboard. He has a new motherboard ordered and will have a tech at my doorstep early next week to have it replaced.

Re: Dell tech support.

One more thing. Since the repair center for the midwest is based out of Minneapolis it only takes a matter of a couple days to get components ordered and replaced.

Awesome! Thanks for the number. I've (recently) had really good luck with Dell's tech support as well.
