2 DWI's, Kills 1 Man, Serve 4 years, then back on the road.

This is the same guy that killed Malik Sealy in 2000. That was his 2nd DWI. he served his 4 years which I guess was enough to pay his "debt to society" and now he was back on the road legally. Guess what happens:

I hope this fuck goes to jail for life.

I just can't understand why they are not harder on drunk drivers. In Europe, I believe you get one ticket and you lose your license for good. They don't mess around. At least that's how it was when I was over there.

This happened in Ames on Tuesday night:

In the article you'll see a reference to Boone; from where the accident occurred to Boone is approximately 8 miles.

I agree, I dont understand how the US can have such lenient laws on drunk drivers. It makes me mad because they get off the hook so easily and just keep doing it.

i know in Bosnia if a cop is following someone going in the wrong lane they have the right to shoot their tires out. no matter if he is drunk or not.

If you are cought drinking once you get a huge fine, equivalent of 1 year salary. If you are cought second time you loose your drivers license forever.

BUT the sad part of it all (at least it was that way before the war) you get cought speeding you take the cop to the bar buy him few drinks and get back into the car and drive away without geting a ticket.. how good would that be ?

I can't believe they ever gave his license back. I can understand not locking someone up for life, because it's usually an accident that is the result of a bad decission. But if someone repeats an offense like that they are in no way fit to be allowed to drive. Whether you're an alcoholic or not doesn't change basic judgement skills. Driving while drunk is not ever ok.

It doesn't really matter if they take his license away, there are a LOT of people driving around with no license. It'd be tough to do something short of just keeping him in jail or giving him the death penalty.

They need to take a persons license away for good after something like that. After that any DWI's with a revoked license should be the same as attempted manslaughter.

DUI is basically saying you're not smary enough to drive, so take away the licence. If you're then caught driving drunk with no license you're saying "I'm too stupid to be free." Consequences should then be much harsher.
