Looks like I am going to be able to live up to the name!!!!
I have been on this forum for 4 years now (yes I was on car forums when I was 14 lol) never having owned a DSM and having the name BuildADSM. Well after a loooooong time it looks like I will be living up to the name!
Hopefully on Friday, I will be driving to chicago (10 hour drive) to pick up my first DSM. It is in pieces so I will have to BUILD it.

I'm so happy, I can't wait! I don't know how long I will keep it but it will be a fun learning experence none the less.

Ok, this is one of the few pictures that I have of it. The double wing makes me laugh... I'll have to do something about that lol. I'll post up more once I get it.

Not too sure as of yet. It is a project for my brother and myself and I don't know how long we plan on keeping it. Having a second car in college is a little hard so I don't really know what the plans are for it. I would like to keep it but need to see what kind of condition its in and a few other thing before we decide to keep it or fix and sell. Not to sure at the time but I will be able to get it running and have some fun with it even if we do sell it.

I know it is a eclipse 97-99 turbo/ gs sport package spoiler. I didn't put it on there (I haven't picked the car up yet, it is 10 hours away) I do like the look of it though (but not the double wing thing lol). I would rather be spending my money on other stuff right now, like a motor lol.
I'll give more info on the history of the car once I get it and find out more... the current owner is.... well know. hehe

Well after driving 12 hours to get here I am now in chicago! Though spending over an hour driving around lost wasn't fun. Well in less then 12 hours I will officially have the car and then will be heading back 14 hours (taking the car home which is 2 hours further then school). I can't wait!!! I'll post up some better pics once I get them.

Thats fucking awesome. I loved that feeling. Holy shit I'm jealous.

Have fun and good luck! It means so much more when you put your heart into it, and I'd say being on the forum for four years, then driving 12 hours and getting lost is the starting grounds for having your heart in it. Or maybe its the alcohol.
