Vacume Line Question

Ok, doing the HG i ran into a few things, and will start posting the questions where they belong, but i ran into two vacume lines that are... well. No longer in the world of the working.

On the underside of the intake manifold there is a bracket, not sure of the exact "Name" but there are 2, or should be, 2 bolts that have a 14mm head on them. After pulling the head off just now there are 4 metal vacume lines that are fixed to the bracket. The top two metal lines have hoses on them, but the botom two have been cut, clean and sharp like a razor. But i'm sure they arn't there for no reason. I know i didn't cut them due to the amount of dirt in them, ti's been some time. I'm wondering if anyone VERY knowing of the car knows what they are. The car runs fine with them cut... but i may have to fix them shortly.

Re: Vacume Line Question

While your at it you might as well remove all the emissions stuff. All those vaccum lines behind the intake manifold are just for emissions. If I remember correctly, only two of the four of those hard vaccum lines are used on 48 state fedral cars. Just get rid of all your emissions, get an EGR block off plate, and plug the nipples on the throttle body.
