That does look kinda cool. It's too bad its 6 hours away, I'm not sure I could afford a tow that far if things went wrong.
The street stock class describes my car perfectly though, and I think I could be extremely competetive in that class.

Why don't you just rent a dolly then and borrow a truck then. That way you wouldn't have to drain for race gas or worry about breaking.

Me- "I don't think you would stand a chance."
Cop says "probably not" and drives off.

Considering what AMS' Evo has been doing lately, it could be very interesting to see what happens.

Nah, I'm tapped out. I'm already running a different car in a different event the day before. I'd really only go to this if it were a 2-3 hour drive. That and the fact that towing a car to an event takes a lot of the fun out of it.

Well damn, the event that I thought was on the 1st is on the 8th. This will probably be my only chance to drag race until late summer so I'm going to very strongly consider going. I'd like to go with a group though.

I'll see you all there, unless you're planning on taking the I35-I80 route, then I could meet up with you all as you're driving past Ames.

Re: DSMCentral's 2006 Sport Compact Drag Challenge Sponsored by AMS
Jana has to work Monday, so with how late we would be coming back home after the event it wouldn't work. I think Andy is scheduled to work that weekend so he'd have to chime in on taking it off.
When did you want to leave/return?

Re: DSMCentral's 2006 Sport Compact Drag Challenge Sponsored by AMS
The only other thing we could do is take the Jeep if someone wanted to have a tow rig on hand just in case, but there'd have to be some gas splittling cause she likes to drink like a fish lol I'd have no problem getting 17-18 mpg on the hwy.
