Good-Bye For Now :(

Well, as you know I bought a 90 laser rs-t. It was broken when i bought it, with lots of help and guidance I managed to get it running somewhat reliabaly. I have had a the time of my life driving it and being part of the DSM community.

But it's come time to get rid of it. I drive close to an hour to work, and drive all day on my days off catching up on errands. I can't afford the gas. Since it's my only car, I can't have the risk of it blowing up on me either. So I am saying good bye to my DSM. I am trading it for my friends 92 civic and $150. so im getting a nice economical car and almost $200 for my car. But I will definately be around. i hate to see her go. but i gotta grow up and put work over play. plus my girlfriend hates my dsm. Well, I will see you guys around, and I'll be back in a DSM later this year. See ya!

Re: Good-Bye For Now :(

lol i know. i already hate myself for doing it. i've tried asking my parents to use their cars. but they're too busy to "work around me". so unfortunately, im down to my last straw....oh well. i'll be back with a REAL DSM....maybe not this year, but next year for sure. I just need a car that im not looking in the rear view mirror expecting my crank to be in sight. lol

Fuck it man, buy a reliable beater and suck it up for a few months, and in the meantime work work work/save save save until you come across a good deal on an AWD.

Re: Good-Bye For Now :(

You can always dontate plasma, collect pop cans or donate you body to science to pay for gas and parts, I'd do that before going over to the "Darkside" and getting a honda!

But I'm just funny that way.......

Re: Good-Bye For Now :(

A little free tweaking and you're FWD DSM could be getting over 30mpg. You have to drive it like a Civic though.

You're gonna be getting a civic anyways, so this way you'll still have your DSM . j/k. Good luck.

$200 a month for 2 hrs a week is enough reason for me.

Anyway, you will be back it is just a matter of time.

Give it a couple weeks before you realize exactly how big of a mistake you just made.

Once you boost, you just can't stop.

Re: Good-Bye For Now :(

I don't even own a DSM, and i'm addicted to boost. Nothing like a guy in an impala getting pissed at you. Best thing is, i've done it with both my 97 F-150 and the GSX. Ford JUST took the lead off the line and held it. The GSX i waited for the guy to jump and he NEVER got more then half a car for half a second. Was two cars ahead by first gear.

Once you boost, you'll never get use to the never-ending turbo lag.
