We Saw A Mercedes Maybach Friday

A few of us were driving downtown minneapolis on friday night and we were at the intersection right in front of Ricks Cabaret. Well all of the sudden Ryan Hable just flips out and says thats a Maybach. For anyone that doesn't know what it is or looks like well heres a link. Brand New $350,000 with a few options $400,000

I didnt know they actually went into production. I saw them in like magazines. Must be nice to have the money to buy one. But if I had it, I'd have something else. Like a 350z, Skyline maybe, shit anything.

Those interiors are so sweet. The outside is decent but it's nothing special.

It is more of a social stattis thing to own one I believe. I know alot of times people will rent them (Outcast did when they got punked). I think that they actually start at 360k (well that is what I heard but then I read 350k but hell what is 10k if you can afford that type of car) and man if I were to pay that much for a car than it better come with EVERY option!!!
and did you say that that guy said he saw one or was in on or what kinda confuseing.

The inside in the front isn't as great as the back but it is not a car to drive but a car to be driven in.

a few options that it has
auto door closer (at the push of a button)
unbrella hidden in the door
wine chiller ... etc etc etc

now I say that is just crazy!

the inside also looks alot nicer on in the first link.... the others it doesn't look nearly as nice and almost like a lincoin (still nice but not worth that kinda mony) w/ a wine rack

At Sema they had one at the Giavonni booth on 24s or 26s. That car is crazy huge in person. It was almost as cool as thier Enzo on 20s or 22s.

I think that car is ugly. Looking at the interior pics it looks like it has several nice options but it still doesn't make up for the uglyness or price of the car. Just looking at the pics in the first link, I wouldn't take a loan out on it if it were only $15,000 to buy. Styling should better on a car that much $$$,$$$.

i remember seeing it on punk'd when they made them think the driver smashed the car into a shop and they turned down the insurance. What caught my attension was to insure it for the night, they needed to pay 1% of the value of the car, which is $3500 id never spend that much to insure much less rent a car for a night. Then again if you have it, might as well spend it...

Yup, the only thing I like is the reclining back seat. But otherwise it's really ugly.

Well as ugly as you think it is it just may be, and hell no i wouldnt pay no where near that for a car, i dont care if it can fly. But i was very suprised to see it and i still think its a sweet car. 5.5 V12 Twin Turbo 543 hp, 664ftlbs, RWD, 0 to 60 in 5.1 sec, i think that will take a few of the DSM's out there. It weighs 7450 pounds too, and a top speed of 155mph, brembo brakes, i say its a decent rich mans ride. And just for shits and giggles Motortrend said this too, a Maybach 57 has lapped Germany's famed Nuerburgring racetrack faster than a Porsche Boxster S. Just food for thought.
