Thanks re: Book fliers at Cookout

Hey everyone-

I just wanted to thank everyone to whom I handed a flier at the cookout on Saturday. Everyone was really nice and seemed interested in the book, WRX vs. Evo, and I even sold a couple copies on-site. I gave Curt a couple copies to give away, so if you received one as a prize, I hope you will enjoy it.

I especially liked that wingless red Evo with the gold rims--that was the color combo of my '97 Talon back in the day. It's great to see how much the cookout has grown since my last one, in 2003 (I think!).

I invite you all to check out the book at www.wrxvsevo.com, and of course you can use the discount code (PHMUW24J) to get 20 percent off for the rest of the week.

I've got an audio interview with the author, Huw Evans, that I'll be posting soon on the website, so look for that coming up.

Thanks again, everyone!

Thanks for coming! I doubt I would have ever heard of this book otherwise. I'm looking forward to picking up a copy. Will it be for sale in stores or online at all?

Very cool, especially since we have both in the garage! I found it on Amazon so I think I'll order it tonight with an Amazon gift certificate I have.

Re: Thanks re: Book fliers at Cookout

Yep, book is available at www.wrxvsevo.com, and also it is on Amazon. You may find it at some other online retailers, but you're sure to find it at either of those.

Not sure if you'll ever find it at the big retailers like B&N and Borders. Those guys have been subtracting shelf space for transportation in a big way the last couple years.

Someone at the show mentioned that it was written up in Super Street or Modified a little while back--anyone out there remember which magazine/issue? We sent review copies to both, I believe.

I'd rather people didn't put flyers on my car.

A table with info would of been good enough.

Hey, I respect that--but I didn't put fliers on any cars in the show. I didn't figure people who spent hours cleaning their cars would want it cluttered up with fliers. I did put a few on cars in the spectator parking lot. If your car was one of those, I apologize.
