Wow, great numbers guys! Definitely a nice looking build.
I love the ported stock IM/TB combo and the Perrin FMIC

Amazing numbers. I am right there with yout when it comes to opting for a MAS over Speed Density. I still to this day do not understand the hype to switch over to speed density when these cars were built (with the OEM ECU) to run a MAS and they do so well with them.
Keep up the good work!!

Re: MAPerformance / First to break 800whp barrier on stock Evo ECU!
One Question: How does one determine if they are the first to break x, y, or z record? How do you know there isn't some guy that tuned his own car, isn't on any forums, and made 900whp? Just curiosity that's all.

Re: MAPerformance / First to break 800whp barrier on stock Evo ECU!
In regards to the actual record please note that we stated "As far as we can tell..." In regards to being the first I'm not ruling out the possibility of someone having done this before, but I can say that it was not easy and would IMHO have to be done by an Evo specialist of some sort. With that said, why wouldn't you share something like this with the Evo community and market your brand?

Figures he has 900 on his G-Tech? Sheets or it didn't happen, I say.

I'm just saying. Not everybody is into the whole forum thing. For example, a friend of a friend of mine made 837whp at DB and he isn't on any forums. Just put together a good setup, brought it to Shane, and tada!

Not saying it did happen, just that it could. Remember, not all car owners are a member of a forum.

If I recall correctly his name is Greg? And I believe Shane did post something about that Don't think it was stock ECU though...

Shane has a couple 700hp+ Evos on the board. Hope to see one some day. I'd do it myself if the power-band at those power levels wasn't so impractical. Hard to give up 400tq below 4k rpm. haha.

Re: MAPerformance / First to break 800whp barrier on stock Evo ECU!
Ah well, my thoughts on it are this: If someone breaks a record in the Guinness book, but they don't take the proper steps to document it, does that mean that the actual record holder in the book can't claim it any longer? If you stumble across some proof that this has been done before, or that more power has been made on stock ECU I will happily edit this thread

My thoughts are, who gives an eff! 800whp on any dyno is epic, fuck the records! Sorry this got turned into SD +/- or world record talk, let's see some pics and videos of this thing in action! Sounds like a good solid build, good work MAP.

Very nice. I wonder how it would be autocrossing.
