Noobish Q. for BOV

Okay, you guys are all going to get really mad when I ask this question but I'm sorry, I don't know as much and I'm still kind of new to this DSM of mine. I drive a 96 GST. My question is:

"How do I know my BOV is leaking?"

I have the 1g BOV attached to a hard UICP. I don't think it's crushed or anything? I ordered it from Buschur.

Re: Noobish Q. for BOV

Do a boost leak check. A stock uncrushed 1G BOV will hold about 17-18 psi, crushed about 22-23. Did you use a new gasket when you installed it?

Yes I did use a new gasket for the 1g BOV. How do I do a boost leak check? Sorry, knowledge is very low.

First go here> http://www.vfaq.com/index-main.html

Then go under the Intake section and make the Intake Leak Tester listed toward the bottom of the page.

Then follow the instructions.

Then bookmark the site and use it again when you want to know how to do something. There is actually a lot of good info on there.
