Project Gholt: Slower, Heavier, & Quieter
Well, this should make for a pretty low operating cost DD! 2012 Chevy Volt Premium w/21k miles on it; found this one up in Chicago and had it transported down. It was the only one for sale in the country with this exact list of colors, options, etc. (diamond white exterior, black leather interior w/silver accents, heated seats, navigation, backup camera, front & rear parking sensors, polished wheels, etc.).
Chevy Runs Deep?
Plugs into a standard household outlet.
OEM charger mounted to the wall.
Put your tongue on anything orange!
Interior is mega clean (this is the backseat).
Parking ramp at a casino in Oklahoma.
The typical shitty weather we've been having all year so far.

Just don't leave the key on and go to sleep by accident,....... Big GM recall coming on that.
Nice pair though.

Re: Project Gholt: Slower, Heavier, & Quieter
Cool pick-up. I am curious to see how you like it considering how much these have dropped in price for a nice used one. I'll have to get out and drive one sometime, would make a great DD if you can make most of your trip without gas!

I actually had it in to the dealership this weekend to have all open recalls and software updates performed. The issue you mentioned has been addressed

Nice, hybrid style. The volt's are much better looking than the prius. What kind of distance do these get on a typical charge?

30-40 miles is what I've done so far on a full charge, which takes about 9 hours through a 120V outlet. You can get 240V chargers which do a full charge in 3-4 hours, but overnight in 9 shouldn't be a problem, especially considering worst-case it just has to run on gas a little extra if doesn't get a complete charge.

Re: Project Gholt: Slower, Heavier, & Quieter
Dude, how can you even get out of the cars parking so close? Haha.
I'd love an electric with 40 mile range, as I never go more than 15 miles each way in town. But Emily doesn't want one.
Seems like a nice car, and I love how they match. White ftw.

I think the spacing in the picture might look a little deceiving because there's enough room for all doors to be opened and to easily get in & out.
Have you explained to Emily that the Volt switches over to it's gas generator once the battery is drained so there is no range anxiety like a typical EV?

Tinted (30% metalized all-around) then detailed it once I got home. Everything turned out pretty well if I do say so myself!
