Minor clutch issue

I have a question about the way my clutch is acting. I think it just needs to be bled again, but I'll ask anyway.

After it's been sitting for a few days, the clutch will feel really soft and start grabbing just above the floor. After I drive through town it gets a bit stiffer and grabs higher up. After 15 miles of highway driving and not using the clutch it's still stiff too.

Then I let it sit for an hour and it's still stiff and grabs high up. But if I let it sit for another day or two it gets weak again.

I know it sounds like it needs to be bled, but I wouldn't expect it to stay pumped up for more than a few minutes without getting weak again.

Re: Minor clutch issue

Thats strange. I'd start with bleeding it again and if that doesn't work check for a leaking master or slave cylinder.

Thats a 2G problem. The clutch needs to be properly adjusted.

Re: Minor clutch issue

jack your car up, check the slave cylinder where the lines bolts to your bleeder. Check that line to see if its loose. Air can get in there and make your pedal stiff and soon your clutching will be off by alot making you slip. Stainless lines are the way to go!
