tinking of getting a new turbo
I am just thinking of buying a new turbo for the evo. I just want to drive it. It has not gone anywere since the 1 day it ran for the cookout when the turbo blew up before we even left my street.
just looking for input on turbos to look at other than the few I am thinking about right now.
They have to be a divided T4 set up with vband out. looking for around the same size that was on on the car GT40.
not looking to spend a ton of cash on it. under 1200.00 would be great.
I have been looking at
borgwarner s366
or
garrett GT4088 non ball bearing

Re: tinking of getting a new turbo
I had the gt4088r ball bearing turbo and it spooled nice on my 2.3 stroker. What are your goals for this?

Re: tinking of getting a new turbo
I know shane has a 4294r for sale not looking to spend 1600.00 and I really dont think it fit on the car. The gt40 is already a super tight fit

Re: tinking of getting a new turbo
Here's a cheaper alternative than trying to get a 6765:
http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-ven...ing-turbo.html
basically almost the same but with the FP wheel which is 7 blades, pte has 6 blades.
He might have a T4 TS housing laying around. If not, try to buy it without the housing and grab a T4 TS 1.06 .

Re: tinking of getting a new turbo
A 366 would be pretty sweet, but brand new BW's can be kind of spendy. You could try some sort of Holset. Isn't there something like a HX52 or something?
