Re: tire discount?
Cuz they're affordable and decent?
I know MNSC has some sort of affiliation with TireRack, but I don't know if you get decent discounts or anything.

No discount, MNSC gets a kickback of every purchase done in MNSC's name.

Re: tire discount?
Well if I can't find someone to get me a discount I'll make sure to buy em through MNSC. And whats wrong with Kumho? ASXs are light weight, cheap, and good.

Re: tire discount?
I will sell them to you for $96 each, if you will pay shipping and tax. There isn't any margin on a cheap tire like that.

Re: tire discount?
I just heard that they aren't to good of tires. Never dealt with them myself or had them on any of my cars, but no one trusts them at my shop except for people who need cheap cheap tires.

Re: tire discount?
Get these tires from Discount Tires here in the cities. Just go to one of their stores. You get free flat repair and tire service and all that with the tires. You will save money that way and mounting will be done also...
I have those tires and they are very nice for the money.

No they don't, you are thinking of the other large online tire retailer. Eitherway, Escatas suck balls.

Re: tire discount?
most of the cars that I see pics of on dsmtalk that got into accidents are rolling on MX Kumho's
BFG traction t/a's are around that price
and they are fairly decent for all season performance rubber.

You better double check this statement. The last time i ordered tires from Tirerack last year i paid shipping and handling. Some places offer free S&H on wheel and tire sets but not tires alone.

they have better snow traction than the goodyear ultra grip tires the squads use here :-D
corner stability within a few points of the KDW's and do not have alot of road noise.
the tire rack people recommend them for anyone wanting a good performance all season under 100 bones.
if you are bored, go rate them vs the khumho's at tire rack.

Re: tire discount?
G-Force KDW tires will DESTROY Traction T/A tires in the dry, the KDW uses a specialized tread compound meant for warmer weather whereas the T T/A's don't. Please don't confuse yourself thinking good (even great) all-seasons will even compare to real performance tires. The T T/A tires are great for general driving, if you insist on using an all-season as a performance tire get the KDWS's and just drive carefully in the snow.

Re: tire discount?
Yeah, the KDW's are way more expensive than 712's. You have to specify which Ecsta you are talking about. The MX's are a very good tire, the 712's are not so hot. If you are looking for all season, don't get the MX's though, they are summer only. The 712's are pretty crappy in the snow too.
I agree with cracka, get a seperate set of snow tires. Once you do it, you will never go back!
