97 eclipse gst tips on adjusting linkedge

My eclipse will not get out of gears. I have new trany and clutch and everything in between. It has to be an adjustment. I am having a small own shop guy I already paid look at it but I need some tips on what it could be or how to adjust. If he can't get it I have an app at mitsu in Brooklyn park on Thursday but it cost a grip to even have them look at It so any advice I could tell this ude would help. Thanx
