Depends how much it costs. I imagine it's well over $100 so I say it's nice unless you feel the need to waste money.

I would disagree. I like the CF look much more than SS, but I own a Honda.

I own a honda (and it's going though a huge de-ricing) and i think carbon fiber is just flat out gay and looks like total ass. Not to mention it's way over priced for what it is. That intake pipe get's a big thumbs down from me.

my 2 cents

Re: Carbon Fiber intake pipe.. COOL!!

Carbon fiber is cool not because of bling, but because if its lightweight, high strength, and b/c it doesn't heat soak as easily as metal.

Re: Carbon Fiber intake pipe.. COOL!!

The 2"-3" diameter CF sleeves used to make piping are only $6 a foot.Of course you need more than 1 layer, resin, and an inflatable bladder but removing welding, mandrel bending and beading from the equation, makes CF piping much less expensive than SS.Downside of CF is its so fragile, and the resins don't handle heat well at all.

Re: Carbon Fiber intake pipe.. COOL!!

Well I think that I will have to get one. I needed an intake for my 2G and can't seem to find anything that looks as nice as this and it is not that much more than say the Injen kit.

I will get some pics when I get it installed.

What a waste of $200 bucks! But that's just my thoughts.

Re: Carbon Fiber intake pipe.. COOL!!

Damn that is pricey, doesn't even include clamps or couplers! To ipt, check out www.dejontool.com for some nice, but cheap, intake pipes.

Re: Carbon Fiber intake pipe.. COOL!!

You can get a nice Cold air intake routed to your tire well for that amount of money? Wow that is pricey.

Re: Carbon Fiber intake pipe.. COOL!!

I have looked at the Dejon tools ones and they just don't look as nice. I use to have a casted alum one that was polished on my 1G now I want something as nice on my 2G. This seems to be it to me.
