Help?

Im not sure whether i need a new oil pump or whether i need a new balance shaft or new balancer sharft bearings? The oil light turn n after i drive the car for like 15-20 min. Before the light would only turn on at idle and as soon as i would rev it it would turn off. then it started flickering every once in a while. and now it just stays on after it seemslike the engine gets hot? Any suggestions?

Re: Help?

What weight of oil are you running? I ran 5W-30 in a DSM once and the light would flicker at idle, switched back to 10W-30 the next day and it never happened again.

+1, clean your oil sensor sender wire and make sure its on nice and snug. It's probably just that, nothing actually wrong.

Re: Help?

check the sending unit. The best would be a aftermarket oil gauge
