They ruined their RX7 and made it like every other RX7 I ever see - Chevy V8. Now they can't run it at their own event. It was sitting there in the grass with no hood on it; looks like a work in progress.

The RX7 is undergoing a complete transformation that might be completed by the end of this year and the Evo just wasn't ready. We've found when you're dealing with cars at this level it's best to run them when they're ready, not try and rush them to make an event. While is was tough not racing this past weekend Mark and his MAP sponsored Talon running 9.40 made it worthwhile Can't wait to see what both Mark and John can achieve by the end of the year!

Trying to balance working on race cars with working on customer cars (which come first) We don't make money racing...

That seems to cause trouble for some shops/people -- working on their own racecar instead of on other people's cars.

There was one flat blue RX-7. Thing looked pretty clean and the owner was a cool guy. Nice car!

What were they doing to that thing? Everytime I walked by there Saturday night they were laying under it.

Thanks for putting up the event. I'm one of the lucky ones who got paid racing. Thanks for the $$ also. My first time out that I actually stayed the whole weekend. I will for sure camp and do it again next year. Boring same car but it's the one that keeps running. Our little group managed to collect almost $1500 total. I keep finding more and more who won trophy and money.
