Re: 2006 Corvette
Sweet. That is awesome. I thought my Escort 8500 X50 was sweet... guess not
I might have to look into this for the RX-7... I work with system integration so I love things like this.

I've seen this guy before. I think I ran him when I was stock turbo E85 and he utterly destroyed me. I've seen him before for sure but I can't remember if it was him or the blue one I ran.
For sure awesome looking car!

Re: 2006 Corvette
I don't recognize it but there are thousands on the forum. Didn't find any references to GOT PWR on the forum either.
That's a nice looking Z though, looks like concave wheels.

Vette guys and custom plates :S
My Uncles C6 Vortech powered Vette has plates of KIKNGAS or something like that, it's black and decently quick on the freeway (640hp).

That is my dream setup, Z06/ZR1 widebody with black concave wheels. Maybe if I could stop doing other mods I could afford it. In true DSMer fashion, I care more about functional mods than appearance. I can stick the 285 front and 335 rear tires under my base fenders so it's not really an upgrade for performance.

I have seen that vette around too, I live about 3 miles farther up that road.

Re: 2006 Corvette
Got the rear laser shifter installed and the front radar detector installed. I didn't have time to mount the front shifters, GPS unit, or display tonight.
Mounts on top of license plate, the wiring goes up through the hole for the plate illumination. I wish it were about 1" higher, I might extend the brackets a bit to make it more concealed.
Wired into car through existing grommet in trunk:
Front radar detector installed at front of grill. Pretty tough to see unless you are close and low to the ground:

And done. It got too late tonight so I'll have to finish up with the wax tomorrow. Nothing like an upcoming wedding to make you want to take your mind off things.
If you zoom in or view the full size pic you can barely see the radar/laser stuff in the front grille. It has already saved me once, it blocked a rear laser attempt and the cop pulled over another guy a minute later haha.
Oh, and a gratuitous pic which is my new desktop background:

Re: 2006 Corvette
FYI, you may want to pull down your plate picture or block it out. As this is a public thread and you are talking about a radar detector/blocker setup

Re: 2006 Corvette
Yes Peter, it needs a good cleaning. It sat in the rain for several days when I was up there last and then at my parents.
Josh, while this is all legal in Iowa, I agree and have blocked the license plate in pics.
