Re: Project Lex
Another recommendation would be to do a carbon test to see if you have exhaust in the coolant. This would indicate a head lifting under peak cylinder pressure (weak stud/headgasket combo or detonation typically the culprit).

Re: Project Lex
Not really sure how to do that. Either way, sounds like I have to get into boost to do that. So hopefully I'll have the wheels back end of the week all finished with new rooobers on. So hopefully can drive it this weekend and see what I see.

Re: Project Lex
Small updates.
I got the replacement ABS sensors installed. So just working on getting them wired to Infinity, slowly but surely. Also started wiring in the clutch pedal switch into Infinity as well.
While I'm really hoping 2017 is going to be a great year, I haven't lost focus of my 2018 plans either. So I got the motor loaded onto the trailer, and all the motor bits I bought from Real St., all loaded up as well. I'll be dropping this off with Daniel Koetz @ Precision Race Engine tomorrow to start doing his thing so it's ready in plenty of time for next Winter!
Manley Rods
Manley Pistons
Manley Valve Springs / Retainers
ARP Mains
ACL Race Bearings
Kelford -C VVTi cams
Real St. Billet Tensioner

Clean and fresh!! Those rear tires look sweeeet. What kind are those on the front? They look like all seasons or snows haha.

Re: Project Lex
They are all-seasons. I got a really good deal on them (barely used). They are BFGoodrich G-Force Comp-2 tires. They actually have better ratings then the old Goodyear Eagles I had up front. So I think they will work just fine for me.

Re: Project Lex
With that much acceleration, channeling the majority of your stopping power through all-seasons with be an interesting experience if you ever need to haul 'er down in short order

Re: Project Lex
They are better than what I had on the front before, which had no issue slowing down from 131mph at the track. It'll be fine, I actually did it mainly to give you all something to nit pick, looks like it worked!

Re: Project Lex
Ahh ok. When you asked about it before you mentioned wanting summer only so they just didnt look like summer tires. Im sure they will be fine for some rips down the track.

Re: Project Lex
Gauge / Switch mount almost done.
My back started hurting just thinking about all this shit to install. This is what a large credit card bill looks like, and not an ounce of added HP.
-BC Coilovers
-Figs Rear LCA's
-FID 1600 injectors
-OEM Supra Front LCA's
-Moog Front UCA's
-Amsoil for trans & diff
-not shown but also on my credit card bill for last month are the reparied and refinished wheels and the tires, as well as a replacement front lip to replace my cracked one (new one is poly). Thanks tax return for helping me sneak this past the Mrs.
Megan vs. Figs
Figs RLCA's in and BC rear coilovers in. Fronts are next. Not looking forward to the back n forth game setting the coilovers height.
