The rules are simple when it comes to both of those plays, when pass interference is called the pass has to be catch-able, even Shaq O'Neal couldn't have came close to catching that. If the ball touches the ground (unless there is complete control with two hands under the ball) at any point it should be ruled incomplete.

12 men on the field causing a 5 yard penalty, taking away any chance of a Longwell field goal by chance? Fuck the calls, the coaching staff blew it on that call and that penalty was uncalled for, and probably cost the vikings the win by 3. Inexcusable mistake.
