Re: Rock Falls April 9th (sunday)

I got there a little later in the day. I saw couple of fast dsms hitting 12s and the infamous black 1g that blew something, then later saw it trailered by a van (I was in the blue srt-4 that passed you 2 times lol) . It was a surprise to see a evo hitting 11s, a van running 16s, and the majority of the dsms making it out alive. Also, congrats to all who got a new personal best time.

Re: Rock Falls April 9th (sunday)

Ok so i finished my IC piping about 7:00 on saturday and headed straight out to EauClaire as we had a hotel room for the night. I didnt get a chance to test or adjust anything for my new setup so it ran 10 PSI to avoid any fuel cut, time for some more tuning i guess. ohh yea first i was spinning all four, and then when the track heated up i was boggin like mad but hey it was my first time. Heres the few pics i got off my camera as i was busy trying to figure out what the hell was going on.

Thats me in my VR-4 yea i did make it out there.

Thats my best time slip, yea its slow i was stuck with only 10 PSI of boost

Just a nice car i saw

This sentra is my buddies.

Do we really need to reply using someone's post with pictures? We saw them the first time.

Re: Rock Falls April 9th (sunday)

Nice times Vassil and Jet. It's good to hear someone's having good luck with the quartermaster, Jet's getting me nervous, I haven't even put mine in yet. And 127mph on a 3052? Damn, that's cooking for a small turbo.

Re: Rock Falls April 9th (sunday)

very nice! i was recording everything. I'd love to post those Vids, but i dont have the correct equipment for my comp but will try. There was that Red 92 Talon that was running 11s all day long! Also saw that Evo that was built by Buschur himself which was pretty cool! Did anyone stay for the eliminations?

Re: Rock Falls April 9th (sunday)

I didn't know that the evo was actually built by buschur. The red/burgundy was a guy named shamus (sp) he actually has a beige 1ga that is faster, they are both from WI and very nice guys. So is the old guy with the 240sx, he knows some shit, built an intercooler pipe, that is an intercooler itself!!!

I was there. Didnt run but saw a lot of you all. I did however have some fun in the dirt in the parking lot after the compilation rounds. Didnt meet any of you but some of you mightve seen my car. The ride home was the best rollin like 20 deep with civics who just wouldnt leave you alone...

How true. And the most annoying. They should just push that thing down the staging lanes.

Puerto Powah! Loud and very slow purpose built drag cars.

Those guys seem to show up everywhere. The couple times a year I show up to race at Grove Creek, Puetro Powah is there too. The only way to avoid them is to go race at Cedar Falls.

BTW, the right lane at Rock Falls is sponsered by LES Performance according to the announcer.

Haha that was funny when the engine started on fire. I stood up and started clapping and cheering because it finally shut off.

Re: Rock Falls April 9th (sunday)

Congratulations Vassil on the 11.2! I knew your car would beat my pitiful 11.4 Anything to get away from the sad sad 1.88 60' times which seem good for Rock Falls, your car will hit a 10 with a few more passes.. I am confident. Not bad for parking lot mechanics!

Too bad you couldn't make it Jake, you would have kept the DSM to Honda ratio down a little bit more.

The white "Buschur" powered Evo is Trevor's. He has ran faster at Great Lakes with the car... I believe an 11.45 @ 121 or thereabouts. Rock Falls just aint the best place for traction, at least on import days.

Also, good job for Josh for the first time at the track with a completely bone stock 1st gen w/ 120k miles with the 14.6 @ 93. Put a clutch, motor, turbo, fuel system, exhaust and an ECU and maybe you can make me more proud

Too bad JETs car wasnt running well. I would have liked to see it line up to Vassils powered by the puny snail.

I remember a guy from Illinois a few years ago running E85 on a DSM. His also put a rod through the block with no datalogged knock.
