AEM EMS V1 (used/rebuilt) - to AEM to be fixed

Fabricate cat-back exhaust
Stronger Clutch

Update:
Got the bumper on last night with ducting modified to get around the FMIC, hopefully I won't be overheating. Just need to clamp the "catback" exhaust to the adapter John made and bolt that to the downpipe and that is done. Need to toss in the short antenna (well don't need to but want to) and pick up a drain plug or two and install the oil temp sensor sender...or just wait for the right parts to get here and install next time, I will probably go that route.
AEM is scheduled to arrive Tuesday.

Yes/No. Still trying for 11's, we'll see how the car responds to boost/tuning.
A/C - Check
Full Interior - Check
Street suspension - Check
Stereo - Check
So far I've managed not to compromise anything, just tried to replace failing parts or weak links with upgrades I see fit. One day I am sure I will end up on an all forged engine, but for the most part I am 95% certain I will stay with bolt-on turbo's.

Update:
Car lives. I had one 02 sensor show up DOA, so overall not to shabby. Now to drive it and tune it off the front bank. I won't switch over to E-85 until my failsafe pump gas map is done (work in progress), and my rear 02 sensor is back in house.
Car is LOUD without mufflers. I will have to bump up priority on that cat-back. Another strange oddity: I cannot mount my front plate. I have now received 2 front plate brackets, neither fit.

I have one of those ethanol monitors if you want I'd sell it to you. Don't have the sensor though.

Re: Lucky #13...Back in the saddle....92 rt/tt
Well this weekend was productive:
Figured out my DOA wideband sensor is actually controller or wiring related, so I need to find time to dig into that, just using the front bank for now.
Figured out my Idle Air Control motor is dead, new one on the way.
Then proceeded to setup a 92 octane fail safe map. I used the full tank of gas in there from October, and the tank was open for a month or two....so in reality it is probably an 85 octane tune, but it will get me by if I need gas to get to the next E85 fill up location.
Then proceeded to tune on E-85 and hit a minor hiccup. The stock clutch is NOT happy any longer, so a replacement is on the way as well.
E-85 results below with a slipping clutch. I know its slipping as it takes more and more RPM to get the same road speed, and the AFR was changing. Hard to know the exact amount of slip, but I will find out.
Don't worry about the peak numbers but the curves are nice!
21psi spike, 16psi hold.

Re: Lucky #13...Back in the saddle....92 rt/tt
Graphed the rpm versus mph...yeah it is slipping under projected peak torque (3500) and just continues to slip more and more as rpm increases. Makes sense as the factory clutch is rated to 300whp and I would anticipate this car to be right around there.
So...my 6 puck XTD disc should be here today, which is good as I have a southbend pressure plate waiting for it.

The pucked clutches seem to have great reviews.

Re: Lucky #13...Back in the saddle....92 rt/tt
Quick update, Had an extra flywheel here, dowel pin snapped off in it . So I ordered a stock style replacement as I would imagine the flywheel in the car has more hot spots than the surface of the sun.
Clutch is slipping still but added some timing up top, car now holds 300+hp per virtual dyno to redline Can't wait to get the 6 puck in and rent some dyno time at MAP after I break in the clutch.
Also ordered a new throw out bearing as the one that was available cannot be found. Goal is to get the clutch in Friday night/Saturday and then start breaking it in. Finish up street tuning and rent an hour of dyno time sometime before proving grounds. Hope to have the tires on by then as well (should) and we'll see how deep into the 14's I can get
Blue graph is more timing compared to image in post #92, red graph is more timing yet. Problem is with additional timing comes more and more RPM needed to achieve the same MPH so I need to stop and wait for the clutch Good amount of slip noted before 4k and after 5500rpm, power curves and AFR move to back that up . The red pull was just a quick check and I hit it pretty late, thus the lazy boost response, just wanted to check the cells "up top". Like I said, nearly time to break in the new clutch after install and see what it does on the real dyno!

Re: Lucky #13...Back in the saddle....92 rt/tt
I was planning on going with one of those XTD 6 pucks as well when I was going to do 15gs, they really do have awesome reviews for how cheap they are. I ended up going with a Competition Clutch Stage 2 to get my VR4 back on the road. Not too many reviews on them, but the few people that have them seem to like them a lot.

Re: Lucky #13...Back in the saddle....92 rt/tt
Update:
Pulled transmission tonight, found a Napa special clutch (LUK). Looks like flywheel step was off (to high) and the clutch was slipping. Shame as it is fairly new looking....looks like it will be part of a scrap run now.
Also picked up a HKS BOV (Thanks John) to replace the leaking EVO VIII BOV. Haven't tested it, but if it holds more than 19psi I am golden as that is when the current BOV started to leak. Figure that plus clutch means I can maybe get 24spike out of the 9b's and maybe 17 to redline? We'll see after break-in.
