Re: SE take two!
Tensioner, pulleys, and water pump should be fine with only 20k miles. The belt will be new.

Re: SE take two!
Could have gone with a TRE 3.73 final drive too. Here's a sweet chart someone made that shows different mph/gear/final drive options, you can play around with it a little: http://forums.evolutionm.net/2087604-post22.html
Either way, this is a bad ass mod.

Lots of respect for you doing your own work but the colors seem hideous ATM. Hopefully you have a grand vision and it'll look right when your bring it together.

Should polish the letters on the valve cover for some contrast

I shoud've got the letters done in black which I'll probably do later down the road. As far as the color choice I got it from a picture I saw of a Ferrari racing engine from the turbo era.

Re: SE take two!
Black letters would look great, I was thinking that last night too actually. That would be easy enough to change.
The red is a very bright red, not the orange/pinkish it appears in the pictures. I think once it's all buttoned back up it's going to look great in there. You don't see many coated IM's besides black in the Evo world.

Re: SE take two!
Awesome progress today! Glad to be apart of this build for sure. Post some pics of the EF3
Things to do:
1. order new front o2 sensor
2. order some shifter cable bushings so we don't have to reuse the crap mush rubber ones
3. look up the ACD bleeding how-to
4. buy some break-in engine oil

Re: SE take two!
^^Are those WORKS bushings better than the aluminum ones everyone else buys? What's the difference in 'feel' like?

Re: SE take two!
I used the brass ones from Speed-Source in my DSM's & IX and have the WORKS ones in my X. They feel nearly identical, the difference is just the noise. With metal bushings you hear the clunk-clunk noise as you shift, the WORKS bushings don't add any noise over stock but are still very firm and precise. I've used and like both, mainly it will come down to personal preference.
I don't like aluminum bushings though, they tend to bind and seize in the shifter cable rings and require far more frequent lubrication. IMO, go with polyurethane or brass.

Re: SE take two!
Just a 16G, right?
Stuffing big wheels into stock compressor covers FTW (as you can see, Andrew opted against the anti-surge cover)!
To add some detail, it's a MAP EF3 w/HP WGA, ported by PPI, coated by SPC.
